Synoptec Synoptic Report Studio

The Synoptic Report Studio (SRS) is used by program administrators to create and maintain synoptic reporting templates.  Synoptic reporting templates are used by the care team to gather information about the procedure in discreet data elements.

Synoptic Template Maintenance

The Synoptic Report Studio is used by program administrators to create and maintain synoptic templates.  With the WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) editor, program administrators maintain the content of synoptic templates without the need for technical programming skills.  All basic functionality of the templates can be maintained by trained administrators. 

Incorporating Images

Sometimes, a picture really is worth 1000 words.  With Synoptec, upload an image use it to allow clinicians to pick their answer.  By mapping answers to regions of the image, clinicians are able to intuitively select answers that would normally have to be in a very long non-inductive pick list.

Synoptec Coding

Softworks and Health Language Inc have partnered to provide world class integration of coding of SNOMED CT terminology within your Synoptic reports.  While using the Synoptic Reports Studio, use the terminology tool to quickly identify the correct terms using normal clinical language.

The integration of HLI and Softworks technologies brings you cross mapping support for ICD-9 and ICD-10 and allows you to drill down to detailed terms to support the current template.

Calculations

Synoptec allows the SRS administrator to create calculations inline of the synoptic template.  These calculations are used to support things like calculation of BMI (Body Mass Index) and can support both Imperial and metric measurement.  The Synoptec calculator is also used to support branching in the synoptic templates - by selecting an answer, the sections of a template automatically open or close to require answers, so you only need to supply answers to questions that are applicable.
