Synoptec Runtime

The runtime module is the main component and is the starting point for all functions in the system.  Surgeons and pathologists use it for completing synoptic reports and administrators use it while working on care paths and synoptic templates.

Security

Synoptec exceeds the security and auditing requirements of the Health Information legislation in Canada and the US.  Providing integrated network security, Synoptec supports single sign-on for LDAP installations and secure off-network access.

The patient security model in Synoptec is context based allowing for patient cases to be secured with any combination of program, facility and role.  Because surgeons may have different privileges within different facilities, Synoptec allows the viewer to perform functions permitted by the current context allowing for a more granular control of each case.

Dashboard

At the heart of Synoptec Runtime is the user-configurable dashboard with a library of components including search, tasks, alerts, reports and schedules.  Whether you are a surgeon who is completing synoptic reports, an administrator working on updates to new reports or an IT specialist monitoring incoming data, the dashboard provides you with a customized entry-point of the system.

Dashboard components are resizable showing you as much or as little of the data as is appropriate for the view.

Case Document Viewer

The case document viewer available on the patient case screen gives the clinician easy and secure access to all documents associated with the current case. Synoptic reports and case notes are available at a glance to users who have access to them with a single click. Diagnostic images, lab reports, medical history, drug history, referral letters and surgical reports are all available if you collect then in your care pathway.

Synoptic Reporting

The Synoptec Runtime is the tool used by care givers to fill out synoptic reports following patient care events or tasks.  Care givers are presented with a simple, elegant interface to complete templates including surgical reports, recording lab results pre and post surgical information and patient follow-up instructions.  The synoptic templates are designed using the Synoptec Report Studio.
